PulsePlay Privacy Policy
What the app accesses on your device (Android)
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
| Audio / media files | To list and play the music already on your device. Your library is read locally and is never uploaded. |
| Modify audio files (media management) | To let you edit a song's title, artist, album or genre, or delete a song, when you ask for it. |
| Notifications and foreground service | To show playback controls and keep music playing in the background. |
| Microphone (record audio) | Used only by Android's audio visualizer so the animated bars react to the music the app itself is playing. No audio is recorded, saved, or sent anywhere. The app works if you deny it. |
| Audio settings | To apply the equalizer, bass boost, virtualizer and loudness effects to playback. |
| Network access | Used only when you cast to a nearby device. The app briefly serves the song you chose over your local Wi-Fi network to that device. Nothing is sent to our servers. |
What the app accesses on your device (iPhone and iPad)
| Access | Why |
|---|---|
| Media & Apple Music (Music library) | To list and play the songs stored on your device. Your library is read locally and is never uploaded. Streaming-only and DRM-protected tracks are not accessible to the app. |
| Files you import | Audio files you choose in the Files app are copied into the app's own storage so they can be played. They are never uploaded. |
| Background audio | To keep music playing and show lock-screen and Control Center controls. |
The iPhone and iPad apps do not use the microphone, location, contacts, or any network connection to our servers, and contain no advertising, analytics or tracking.
Data stored on your device
PulsePlay keeps your playlists, favorites, play history, song trim points, equalizer settings and playback queue in the app's private storage on your device so they persist between sessions. This data stays on your device and is deleted when you clear the app's data or uninstall it. Editing a song's details or trimming playback changes only what the app shows and plays; trimming does not alter your audio files.
Data we collect
None. We do not operate a server for this app, and we do not receive any information about you or your music.
Third parties
PulsePlay contains no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or tracking SDKs. If you cast, the receiving device (for example a Chromecast) handles the audio you send to it under its own policies.
Children
The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
